Bayern Munich dreams of Haaland as long-term heir to Kane

Eight years. That's how much time is left on Erling Haaland's contract with Manchester City, an absurd length that should, in theory, put any debate about his future to rest. And yet the Norwegian's name is popping up again in Germany, of all places to wear the red of Bayern Munich.

According to TEAMtalk, the Bavarian club has its eye on the 26 year old forward as a possible long-term replacement for Harry Kane. For now, the idea isn't to make a move right away: the plan is to keep the Englishman at the Allianz Arena for two more seasons and only then assess whether a run at Haaland is realistic. In other words, it's more a future hypothesis than an imminent move, though the mere fact that it's being considered says a lot about Vincent Kompany's ambitions.

And speaking of Kompany, the Belgian coach isn't just dreaming about Haaland: his side is also said to be after Morgan Gibbs-White, the Nottingham Forest attacking midfielder, with an eye toward bringing him in next summer alongside his fellow countryman Kane as part of the same attacking project.

United eyes Mitchell as Shaw's successor

In England, attention is turning to left back. Manchester United has identified Tyrick Mitchell, the Crystal Palace defender, as an alternative to Newcastle's Lewis Hall in its search for a long-term replacement for Luke Shaw. Mitchell, 27, entered the final year of his contract this summer, which opens the door to a more affordable deal. But United aren't alone in the chase: Liverpool is also keeping close tabs on the player, and Chelsea, alert to the possibility of signing him as a free agent, has joined the list of suitors.

On the Italian front, Chelsea and Manchester City are exploring a move for Francesco Camarda, AC Milan's 19 year old striker. The forward, who managed just one goal in 21 Serie A appearances last season, hasn't been finding minutes since returning from his loan at Lecce, and that has set off alarm bells at both English clubs, who are watching closely for any opportunity to emerge.

In Naples, the contract saga surrounding Kevin De Bruyne isn't moving forward. Journalist Nicolo Schira reports that negotiations with the 35 year old Belgian's representatives are stalled, and that club and player are "on the verge" of going their separate ways next summer. De Bruyne joined Napoli in 2025 on a two-year deal, after turning down offers from MLS and the Saudi Pro League.

Finally, Alejandro Garnacho is back on the radar of LaLiga clubs. The winger, on loan at Aston Villa from Chelsea, has managed just 32 Premier League minutes across three substitute appearances under Unai Emery. Any permanent transfer to Villa Park, should certain conditions be met, would be closed for 43 million pounds, though his lack of playing time is now opening the door for Spanish clubs to explore a possible deal.
