Chivas Sells Out Every Semester Chivabono for Clausura 2027

Once again, the latecomers were left out in the cold. This Saturday it was confirmed that Chivas sold out every single semester Chivabono for the Clausura 2027, driving home a point nobody in Guadalajara argues with anymore: landing a ticket to see the Rebano at Estadio Akron without a season pass is next to impossible.

The sales window had opened earlier this week, aimed at fans who had only bought access for the Apertura 2026 and now had the chance to renew for the following semester. Depending on the section, the price tag varied quite a bit.

The most affordable option was the Barra Rojiblanca, priced at 3,390 pesos. That section offers a different kind of experience: standing room only, surrounded by metal railings that run along the entire lower deck of the stadium. For fans who prefer an assigned seat, the cheapest choice was Cabecera Superior, at 3,690 pesos. At the other end of the spectrum sits Club Chivas, the crown jewel price wise, going for 26,390 pesos, which includes food and drinks during matches.

Is it worth paying those prices? For plenty of fans, yes, and not just for the match itself. Those who renewed their Chivabono will get priority access to purchase tickets for the Apertura 2026 Liguilla, a stage in which the club will look to keep filling the stands at Akron.

A Schedule Loaded With Draws

Clausura 2027 isn't shaping up to be just another semester for the Rojiblancos. Akron will host the Clasico Nacional against America as well as the Clasico Tapatio against Atlas, two matches that alone would be enough to move the needle at the box office. But there's an extra layer to it: it will mark Matias Almeyda's first visit to the stadium as Monterrey's Rayados head coach, a reunion that's sure to stir up memories among those who lived through his time as Chivas manager.

On top of all that, the club is also returning to the CONCACAF Champions Cup. While neither the annual nor the semester Chivabonos guarantee automatic entry to those matches, they do give holders access to a presale with preferential pricing before tickets open up to the general public.

None of this is a coincidence. Season ticket culture at Akron took off after Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez's return in 2023, and it hasn't let up since, helped along by results that have backed up the fans' faith. These days, getting a ticket to a Chivas home game without a season pass often means trying your luck on the official ticketing app's secondary market, and even then there are no guarantees.
