A penalty converted by Paxten Aaronson right at the edge of halftime was enough for the Colorado Rapids to secure a narrow 1-0 win over CF Montreal at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. In an MLS matchup that the home side controlled for the most part, the lone goal reflected more of a gap in chance creation than an easy night, since Montreal pushed until the final whistle without finding an equalizer.
