Celta Steamroll Racing With a Resounding 5-0 at Balaídos

A penalty converted by Hugo González in the 31st minute opened the door, and Celta de Vigo never let it shut again, finishing off a commanding 5-0 win over Racing de Santander at Estadio Abanca-Balaídos. What started as a stodgy, foul-filled affair with few clear chances ended up a full-blown rout, with two late goals from Pablo Durán rounding out the scoreline.

The first half was settled by VAR. In the 27th minute, a handball by Jeanuël Belocian inside the box was flagged as a penalty after review, and Hugo González made no mistake, sending a low, hard shot just inside the left post. Then, in stoppage time, in the 91st minute, Durán completed his brace with a finish off a counterattack, again assisted by Hugo Álvarez, to make it 5-0.
