Lorient stuns Lens with Koné strike at Bollaert to snatch crucial win (0-1)

Lens controlled the ball, flooded Yvon Mvogo's box with crosses, and finished the match down to nine men and one goal short: Lorient took a 0-1 win at Stade Félix Bollaert-Delélis, in a Ligue 1 clash the home side had in its grasp and never managed to close out.

The first half was a back-and-forth affair with nothing to show for it. But the finishing touch never arrived, and Lorient, with substitutes Théo Le Bris, Ibrahima Baldé and others, managed the lead without any serious alarms.

The match still had one bitter chapter left for the home side in stoppage time. In the 91st minute, Souleymane Sagnan picked up a second yellow card for dangerous play and left Lens down to ten men, capping off a night in which late-game anxiety finally caught up with the hosts.
