Two goals were chalked off by VAR inside five minutes, and it looked like the match might get stuck at 0-0. In the 52nd minute, Nuamah popped up again, this time as the finisher, with a left-footed strike from inside the box that made it a final 3-1, a goal that also went to VAR review before being confirmed. From there the match opened up with substitutions on both sides and scattered chances (a shot from Kaïl Boudache that crashed off the crossbar in the 88th minute, saves by Openda on several attempts), but the score didn't move again.
