Porto thrash Benfica 3-1 to open up gap at the top of the Liga Portugal

The Estádio do Dragão saw one of those afternoons that gets remembered both for the scoreline and for everything that happened around it. FC Porto thrashed Benfica 3-1 in a Liga Portugal clash defined by a nine-minute burst in the second half that settled the outcome, and by a red card that left Benfica down to ten men before the break.
