Emelec edged Técnico Universitario 2-1 at Estadio George Capwell Banco del Austro, in an Ecuadorian Serie A clash the home side controlled for nearly the entire first half thanks to a brace from Luca Klimowicz, before having to weather a late push from the visitors after they pulled a goal back.
