In EA Sports FC 27, Monterrey Has a Bigger Transfer Budget Than America in Liga MX

Starting a Manager Career in EA Sports FC 27 with a Liga MX club is not the same experience depending on which crest you pick. Some teams show up to the market with an open wallet, while others have to think twice about every signing. And here is the curious part: the team with the most money to spend is nowhere near the most valuable team in the game.

That honor belongs to America, which shows up as the most valuable institution in the entire league at $484.50 million. But when it is time to actually go shopping, the Eagles rank just fifth, with only $22.98 million on hand. It is a contrast that says a lot about how the game separates "what a club is worth" from "what it can actually spend right now."

Monterrey, the club with the most market muscle

The team that does show up with real spending power is Monterrey. Rayados starts the game with $45.25 million, the highest figure among the 18 Mexican clubs. Close behind are Guadalajara, with $39.02 million, and Cruz Azul, with $35.85 million, rounding out a top three that pulls well clear of the rest of the pack.

Next comes Tigres with $27.60 million, and further down the list are America, Toluca ($21.65 million) and Pumas ($20.50 million). Those seven, in fact, are the only clubs that start with more than $20 million to reinforce their rosters.

At the other end of the table sits Atlante, which closes out the list with just $7.72 million. The gap with Monterrey comes out to $37.53 million, meaning Rayados starts out with nearly six times the budget of the Potros. Puebla also falls short of $10 million, joining a cluster of tight budgets that includes Santos Laguna, Atletico de San Luis, FC Juarez and Queretaro.

Club value tells a different story

If instead of budget we look at the value the game assigns to each institution, the order flips entirely. America leads with that $484.50 million, followed by Guadalajara ($399 million), Monterrey ($342 million) and Cruz Azul ($307.80 million).

Tigres and Pumas are tied at $273.60 million, even though their transfer budgets look very different: $27.60 million for Tigres against $20.50 million for Pumas. Something similar happens with Atlas and Pachuca, both valued at $171 million, with budgets of $16.23 million and $15.32 million respectively. Tijuana and Puebla also share the same value ($131.10 million), but Xolos have $13.24 million to work with in the market while La Franja can only reach $9.69 million.

Atlante again lands at the bottom of the table, this time in club value, at $85.50 million, just below FC Juarez ($96.90 million) and Atletico de San Luis ($108.30 million).

In the end, the takeaway is clear: Monterrey, Guadalajara and Cruz Azul can come out swinging in the market from the very first transfer window with more than $35 million in the bank, while at Atlante or Puebla every signing has to be managed under a microscope. Choosing a club in Manager Career mode, then, also means choosing how much real room you will have to build your squad from scratch.
