October is shaping up to be a packed month for Argentine soccer, and it's worth keeping the schedule handy, because between the Liga Profesional, Copa Argentina and the South American matchups there's hardly a day off. Let's go through what's coming, match by match.

The Clausura 2026 keeps rolling: matchday 11 with Boca, River and all the big clubs

The 2026 Clausura Tournament reaches matchday 11 with a schedule that kicks off Friday, October 2 and runs through Monday the 5th. The opener pits Independiente against Instituto at 7:15 p.m. (Zone A), and later, at 9:30 p.m., Independiente Rivadavia of Mendoza takes on Gimnasia in Zone B.

Saturday the 3rd brings a tripleheader with Defensa y Justicia hosting San Lorenzo at 2:45 p.m., followed at 5:00 p.m. by Atletico Tucuman against Barracas Central and Newell's against Lanus. The day wraps up with Argentinos facing Tigre at 7:15 p.m., and at 9:30 p.m. Huracan takes on Aldosivi.

On Thursday, October 1, it's Platense's turn against Estudiantes de La Plata, also with the venue still pending. The grand final has been set for Wednesday, November 4, pending confirmation of the finalists.

Estudiantes and Boca with their sights set on South America

In the Copa Libertadores, Estudiantes will fight for a spot in the final against Flamengo. The first leg is Thursday, October 15 at 9:30 p.m., and the return leg will be played Thursday, October 22 at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
