Geyse Da Silva hits 12 goals and pulls away atop the Apertura 2026 scoring race

The Brazilian forward stretched her lead after America's rout of Tigres, while Higuera, Ordoñez, Cervantes and Ribeiro battle it out for the rest of the Top 10 spots.

The Apertura 2026 is barely reaching its midpoint and it's already clear who's running the show up front. Geyse Da Silva remains well ahead of the pack, and in Eagles' rout of Tigres she scored again to widen her lead atop the individual scoring table.

For several seasons it was Charlyn Corral breaking records in this tournament. Then, in the Clausura 2026, the scoring title ended up split between Diana Ordoñez and Eugénie Le Sommer. Now, with the new format debuting in the Liga Femenil, America's Brazilian forward looks determined to claim the crown all for herself.

Geyse Da Silva won't let go of first place

The Brazilian striker reached 12 goals after scoring in the rout of Tigres, confirming herself as the top offensive threat for an America side that's also fighting for the league title. Her lead over the rest of the pack is already becoming considerable, and there are still several matchdays left to play.

Right behind her is Enyerliannys Higuera of Atletico San Luis, who has come out of a spectacular start to the tournament. The forward from Tuna broke out with a brace in the match against Santos and is now firmly in the conversation for the scoring lead.

Mexican forwards jockey for position in the rest of the Top 10

Third place belongs to Diana Ordoñez, though at this point the Mexican forward's goal is less about fighting for first and more about not losing ground to Geyse. In the match against America itself she went scoreless and remains on six goals.

Tied with that same tally are Alicia Cervantes and Stephanie Ribeiro. "Licha" is coming off a brace in matchday six against Atlas, and although she didn't score this time around, she moved up a spot thanks to logging more minutes than the Pumas forward. Ribeiro, for her part, has established herself as the top offensive reference since arriving at Club Universidad and already has six goals through six matchdays played.

The rest of the Top 10 reads as follows: Maricarmen Reyes with five goals, Jermaine Seoposenwe also with five, Kader Hancar with five, and closing out the list, Priscila Flor Da Silva and Chrestinah Kgatlana, both with four goals.

With three Mexican forwards in the mix (Ordoñez, Cervantes and Reyes) and a solid group of foreign players making the difference, the Apertura 2026 scoring table promises to keep shifting matchday after matchday. For now, Geyse Da Silva is the one in charge, and the Eagles know it well: having the tournament's top scorer is a key part of their bid to claim the title.
