Jagiellonia and Ararat-Armenia chase first Europa League win
After losing their openers, the Polish and Armenian sides meet at Chorten Arena with the model giving the home team a 50% chance of victory.

Jagiellonia Białystok arrives at Chorten Arena with an urgent need to collect its first win in the Europa League league phase. Its opponent, Ararat-Armenia, has no margin either: both sides opened with a loss and sit near the bottom of the tournament's overall standings. It's a matchup between two teams still searching for a win, and both need to get going fast.
The Polish club lost its opener 2-1, and that result explains its tournament record so far: one match played, no wins, one goal scored and two conceded. Recent form hasn't helped either: of its last five matches, Jagiellonia won just one and dropped four in a row. In the overall Europa League table, which includes 36 teams, Jagiellonia sits in 21st place, though with every team having played just one match, that ranking says more about the format than about the team's actual level.
Ararat-Armenia finds itself in a similar spot, and its goal difference is even worse: it also lost its debut, but by a wider margin, scoring one and conceding four, which leaves it in 33rd place in that same table. Its recent form, however, is a bit more encouraging: over its last five matches it picked up two wins, one draw and two losses, a steadier run than that of today's opponent.
Neither team has goals-scored or goals-conceded-per-match data yet in their 2026 Europa League trends, since that sample is limited to the single match each has played. What those trends do show is a sense of when their goals tend to arrive: Jagiellonia found the net between the 16th and 30th minutes, with Kajetan Szmyt scoring in that sample, while Ararat-Armenia's goal, scored by Bruno Wilson, came in the second half, between the 46th and 60th minutes. In both cases, neither side was able to keep a clean sheet in that same sample.
Probable lineups
Coach Adrian Siemieniec, in charge of Jagiellonia, is expected to repeat much of the lineup that's featured in recent matches, with Slawomir Abramowicz in goal and Nik Prelec leading the attack, both starters in the last five games. This is a probable lineup, inferred from recent squad selections, with medium reliability.
On the other side, Ararat-Armenia, managed by Tulipa, presents a projected eleven with higher reliability: as many as eight of its players have started in each of the last six matches, among them João Bravim in goal and an attacking trio made up of Sandro Lima, Artur Serobyan and Zidane Banjaqui.
What the numbers say before kickoff
Our model has Jagiellonia as a slight favorite for playing at home at Chorten Arena, though without an overwhelming edge. Expected goals, an in-house estimate, put the home side at 1.66 and the visitors at 1.04, for a projected total of 2.70 goals in the match.
| Result | Probability |
|---|---|
| Jagiellonia Białystok win | 50% |
| Draw | 28% |
| Ararat-Armenia win | 22% |
These numbers lean toward the home side without settling the match: with a 50% win probability, there's plenty of room for an upset or a draw, and it's worth remembering this is an in-house estimate, not a betting line.
With both teams in need of points after their opening stumble, the clash at Chorten Arena promises few concessions. Whoever breaks the tie in the tournament's overall standings will get some breathing room; whoever comes up short again will see the pressure build quickly.
