Unbeaten Juventus and AC Milan Set for Derby dei Campioni Showdown in Turin
Two undefeated sides collide this Sunday at the Allianz Stadium in Serie A's third matchday.
Two unbeaten records, one throne up for grabs in Turin. That's what's on the line when Juventus host AC Milan at the Allianz Stadium this Sunday, September 6, in the third matchday of the 2026-2027 Serie A season. Kickoff for South America is set for 3:45 p.m. (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay) and 1:45 p.m. (Colombia, Peru, Ecuador), with the match airing on Disney+'s Premium Plan, exclusive to the region.
That both teams arrive with a perfect record is no accident. Juventus opened the season by thrashing Frosinone and then backed it up with a win over Parma. On the other side, Rúben Amorim's Milan has been just as sharp, beating Torino in their opener before dispatching Venezia. Two teams, two coaches with different philosophies, and one shared goal: don't fall behind this early in the campaign.
And make no mistake, this is no ordinary fixture. This is the Derby dei Campioni, the clash between Italy's two most decorated clubs, and the first one of the season in Serie A. When Juventus and Milan meet, the standings take a back seat for a while: what matters more is the history, the prestige, and each fan base's desire to have the last laugh over their rival.
The names who could decide it
For the Old Lady, keep an eye on Kolo Muani, who looks set to lead the attack, while Nicolás González brings unpredictability out wide. At the back, Jhon Lucumí carries the responsibility of holding firm against Milan's attacking power.
On the Milan side, the goalscoring threat runs through Gonçalo Ramos, paired with the creativity of Christopher Nkunku. Alphadjo Cisse is also in the mix, one of the pieces Amorim has been testing to add variety to his squad.
The most recent meeting between the two sides doesn't suggest a high-scoring affair is coming: last April 26, at San Siro, Juventus and Milan played to a scoreless draw, in a tight match where neither defense gave an inch. Now, with the venue flipped and Juventus hosting at the Allianz Stadium, the Bianconeri will look to break that stalemate and claim the season's first major showdown, while Milan will try to prove their perfect start was no fluke.
