Sporting Kansas City and St. Louis City SC played to a 1-1 draw at Sporting Park in an MLS clash that told a contradictory story: the home side dominated large stretches of the game and piled up the better chances, yet it was the visitors who struck first and who, in the end, walked away with a point that may carry more weight in their standings than in the home team's.
