Real Salt Lake tried to respond with substitutions (Aiden Hezarkhani, Alexandros Katranis and Dominik Marczuk all came on after the hour mark) and had a couple of half chances through Pablo Ruiz and Katranis, but couldn't create a clear opportunity to breathe any life back into the scoreline.
