Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City Battle for Feyenoord's 20-Year-Old Fullback

Some players land on the radar of three or four giants without making much noise at all. That's the case with Givairo Read, the 20-year-old right back at Feyenoord, who according to TEAMtalk has drawn interest from none other than Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City. Not bad for a kid who's still turning out for the Netherlands under-21 side.

The numbers behind all that interest are straightforward: four assists in seven Eredivisie matches this season. It's not a huge tally, but for a young fullback who had already been on scouts' radars since the summer, it's enough to keep English clubs watching every Feyenoord game closely. All three clubs are tracking his progress, and while a January move hasn't been ruled out, everything hinges on a formal, concrete offer materializing.

Read is no stranger to the transfer market. Before this wave of Premier League interest, both Nottingham Forest and AS Roma had already tested Feyenoord's resolve with offers in the region of 20 million euros, bids that went nowhere. The fact that three Champions League clubs are now lining up says a lot about where his value is heading.

United Keeps an Eye on Guirassy, Dreams of a 15-Year-Old Norwegian Gem

Old Trafford is also plotting ahead for January. Manchester United have Serhou Guirassy, the 30-year-old Borussia Dortmund striker, on their radar as an experienced option in case Joshua Zirkzee ultimately packs his bags. That said, the club still believes in Benjamin Šeško despite his recent injury troubles, so Guirassy would be more of a backup plan than a top priority.

For now, Dortmund have no intention of letting him leave. The catch is that Guirassy has less than two years left on his contract, something that could eventually force the German club's hand whether they like it or not.

But the most eye-catching story of the day comes out of Norway: The Sun reports that United are also tracking Gabriel Rajkovic, a Vålerenga winger who is just 15 years old, whom they view as a possible long-term replacement for JJ Gabriel. Signing a teenager that young shows just how far ahead of the curve big clubs are now willing to move rather than wait for talent to develop.

Other Moves Taking Shape Across Europe

Barcelona are closely monitoring Arthur Dias, the 19-year-old left-footed center back at Athletico Paranaense, whom the club's head of scouting, João Amaral, already watched in person during a match against Bahia. The defender, already called up by Brazil under Carlo Ancelotti, carries a market value of around 30 million euros and is also drawing interest from Tottenham, Newcastle and Atlético Madrid. Spurs, in fact, already tried to sign him with an offer of 21 million euros for 80% of his economic rights, which was turned down by the Brazilian club.

In London, Tottenham have decided against pursuing Mauro Icardi, a free agent since leaving Galatasaray in July. His salary demands and lack of Premier League experience have weighed against him, so all signs point to the Argentine ending up in Serie A, with Lazio among the interested parties.

Roma, meanwhile, are exploring another free agent: Raphaël Guerreiro, 32, who has resurfaced as a left-sided option for Gian Piero Gasperini. Olympiacos also have him on their list.

And there are more names in circulation: Arsenal and Chelsea are watching Feyenoord midfielder Gjivai Zechiel; the Gunners could make a January move for Brentford's Kevin Schade; and their own striker Viktor Gyokeres is being watched by Juventus, Milan, Al Ahli and Al Ittihad after a sluggish start to the season. Over at Barcelona, Raphinha wants to stay put, and the club is negotiating a contract extension beyond 2028, though a call from Saudi Arabia could still complicate matters.
