Luis Enrique reaches 22 trophies between Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain

Twenty two trophies. That's the number attached to Luis Enrique's name these days whenever someone puts together a list of the most successful coaches in recent soccer history. It's not a figure that came out of nowhere: it was built club by club, season after season, from Camp Nou to the Parc des Princes.

The Asturian coach started filling the trophy case at Barcelona, where he was in charge from 2014 to 2017. There he won nine titles, starting with a stunning first year: in the 2014/15 season he swept the full treble, La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League, the latter after beating Juventus in the final. That same year he also added the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup, capping off a season that cemented him forever among the club's benchmark coaches. He went on to repeat as league champion with Barca in 2015/16, lifted the Copa del Rey again in 2015/16 and 2016/17, and closed out his stint with the 2016 Spanish Super Cup.

A different chapter followed, first as Spain's national team coach and later on the Paris Saint Germain bench, where he picked up that winning streak again with even greater intensity. In Paris he racked up 13 titles, including three straight Ligue 1 crowns (2023/24, 2024/25 and 2025/26), two French Cups (2023/24 and 2024/25) and three consecutive French Super Cups (2023, 2024 and 2025).

Two Champions League titles with PSG

The big leap came in Europe. Luis Enrique led PSG to the 2024/25 Champions League title, with a resounding thrashing of Inter Milan in the final, a result that put an end to years of frustration for the Parisian club in Europe's top competition. A year later he repeated the feat in 2025/26, this time settling the title against Arsenal from the penalty spot. That second European crown was the one that pushed him to the round number of 22 trophies as a coach.

The Paris trophy haul is rounded out by the UEFA Super Cup in 2025 and 2026, and the 2025 Intercontinental Cup, silverware that confirms that the winning project he built in Barcelona found a second life, even more prolific, in France.

With nine titles at Barcelona and thirteen at PSG, Luis Enrique has left a mark that will be hard to match at two of the most ambitious projects in European soccer over the last decade. The question that lingers is simple: where's the ceiling for a coach who, every time he takes over a winning locker room, ends up lifting trophies?
