Noni Madueke Drawing Interest From Premier League Clubs Just Months After Arsenal Move

January is still a ways off, but Europe's transfer market is already stirring. And one name generating plenty of buzz belongs to Noni Madueke, who could be on his way out of Arsenal just months after arriving.

According to Football Insider, several Premier League clubs, who for now prefer to keep their identities under wraps, are closely monitoring the English winger's situation. The logic checks out: Madueke has barely featured so far this season at the Emirates, and with Max Dowman emerging as an option on the right flank, things are only getting tougher for the former Chelsea man.

What makes it striking is how recent the signing was. Madueke, 24, joined Arsenal only last summer from Chelsea, and since then has posted modest but respectable numbers: nine goals and four assists in 48 matches. Enough to suggest he could thrive elsewhere if he isn't given more minutes in London.

Liverpool Looks to the Netherlands

Meanwhile, there's radar activity at Anfield too. According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool is among a wide group of clubs tracking Kees Smit, the AZ Alkmaar midfielder. The Dutchman, just 20, has been a regular starter for his club over the past two seasons and is once again a key figure this campaign in both the Eredivisie and the Europa League.

This isn't a last-minute interest either, the Reds have been tracking him for a while. Smit made his debut for the Netherlands national team in March, though he ultimately missed out on the squad for the 2026 World Cup. That detail doesn't appear to have cooled Europe's interest in him.

Other Names in Motion

Arsenal, alongside handling Madueke's possible departure, is also keeping an eye on incoming transfers. Together with Aston Villa and Brighton, the club is following Luca Weinhandl, the 17 year old Sturm Graz talent who already has five appearances this season after debuting last campaign. There's talk of a package close to 20 million pounds to get the deal done.

In Italy, Juventus is preparing to open talks with Nicolas Gonzalez about extending his contract during the upcoming international break. The Argentine, who spent last season on loan at Atletico Madrid and drew interest from Atletico themselves, Inter Milan and a Saudi Arabian club, opted to stay in Turin. Since returning he has racked up two goals and one assist in four matches, numbers that back up the case for extending his deal, which currently runs through 2029.

Over in MLS, New York City FC is close to signing defender Matt Miazga as a free agent, days after FC Cincinnati terminated his contract. The center back, who has 28 caps with the US national team and was named MLS Defender of the Year in 2023, made 108 appearances for Cincinnati before this exit.

Other moves worth watching: Manchester City and Liverpool are keeping tabs on Felix Nmecha of Borussia Dortmund, though a January deal has been ruled out. Liverpool is also being linked with Tyrick Mitchell of Crystal Palace as reinforcement at left back. In Naples, the club has turned down offers for Rafa Marin, the 24 year old defender who has started every match since returning from his loan spell at Villarreal.

In Spain, Espanyol has set a 25 million euro release clause for striker Roberto Fernandez, a figure set to rise following his first call up to the Spanish national team, the product of a run of six goals in seven matches. Tottenham, meanwhile, continues to monitor Brazilian defender Arthur Dias of Athletico Paranaense, valued by his club at 30 million euros.

And in Newcastle, the future of Nick Woltemade remains uncertain too: the club is reportedly willing to entertain offers for the striker once his loan spell at Juventus comes to an end.
