The message is clear: PSG doesn't just want to keep its coach, it wants to lock in the core group of players who have been with him through this golden stretch. Young names like Neves and Mayulu, alongside established players like Pacho and Fabian Ruiz, form a backbone the Paris club is looking to build on over time, rather than rebuild every couple of seasons the way it used to.

All of this was made official ahead of a match, not at a separate press conference or some event staged for the occasion. It's almost as if Paris now takes it for granted that good news arrives on its own these days, one piece after another, while the team just goes about its normal schedule.

With this extension, Luis Enrique secures the continuity to try for something that keeps getting harder in modern soccer: stacking success after success without the project falling apart. PSG already has the challenge of defending its European crown on the table, and now it will do so with the same coach and much of the same cast of players who won it in the first place.
