Real Madrid, Barcelona and Half of England Already Plotting January and Next Summer
From Real Madrid's interest in center back Jarell Quansah to Chelsea, Liverpool and three other English clubs circling Jules Koundé, here's a look at the moves starting to take shape in the market.
The winter window hasn't opened yet, but phones are already buzzing. And if there's one name starting to make real noise inside Real Madrid's offices, it's Jarell Quansah. According to Bild, the Spanish club is keeping close tabs on the Bayer Leverkusen defender with an eye on next summer, with plans to add at least two reinforcements to the back line.
Quansah, a 23 year old Englishman, moved to German football from Liverpool for 35,000,000 euros in 2025 and has only kept growing since. His performances in the Bundesliga have caught the attention of Real Madrid's scouts, though they're not the only ones watching: Arsenal, who had tracked him before, also hasn't lost sight of the center back.
Meanwhile, in Barcelona, another defender is starting to draw attention for very different reasons. Jules Koundé has landed on the radar of no fewer than five Premier League heavyweights: Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City, according to TEAMtalk. Chelsea are the most active, keeping a close eye on the Frenchman for a very specific reason: Xabi Alonso wants to strengthen the right back spot, and Barcelona, for their part, need to raise funds to finance incoming signings.
Moves Between the Posts and Surprises in England
Tottenham aren't sitting still in their search for a goalkeeper of the future. According to TEAMtalk, Spurs added Konstantinos Tzolakis, the Hull City goalkeeper, to a list that already included Bart Verbruggen of Brighton. The 23 year old Greek joined from Olympiacos for 20,000,000 pounds this summer and has answered with three clean sheets in five Premier League matches.
Bournemouth, on the other hand, has shut the door for now on any offers for Alex Scott. Despite interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, the Cherries plan to hold on to the 23 year old English midfielder until at least next summer. He's entering the final two years of his contract, and Bournemouth value him at no less than 100,000,000 pounds, a figure that explains why there's no rush to sell in January.
There's also movement inside Real Madrid: Endrick could go out on loan again in January due to a lack of minutes, according to Diario AS. Roma remain interested in the Brazilian forward, having already flirted with a move during his time at Lyon, though the arrival of Jose Mourinho on Real Madrid's bench could change the young striker's plans.
There are more names circulating: United are working to renew Bruno Fernandes while Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Milan and Galatasaray monitor his situation; United themselves are also warming to the idea of signing Alejandro Balde in January given his lack of playing time at Barcelona; Liverpool are exploring a move for Brentford's Kevin Schade and haven't lost track of former player Tyler Morton, now at Lyon. In Italy, Juventus sent scouts to watch Virgil van Dijk and Brian Brobbey, and Napoli are already preparing their January plan with their sights set on Basel, Monaco, Rennes and Fiorentina.
