United, Arsenal and Chelsea Battle Over Igor Matanovic, Freiburg's $60 Million Killer

While the three English giants size each other up over the Croatian striker, Madueke looks for a way out in January and Kane edges closer to a new deal with Bayern through 2029.

United, Arsenal and Chelsea Battle Over Igor Matanovic, Freiburg's $60 Million Killer

The European transfer market waits for no one, and this week there's one name popping up in the plans of three English clubs: Igor Matanovic. The SC Freiburg forward, 23 years old and Croatian, has Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all circling, according to TEAMtalk. His numbers speak for themselves: 21 goals in 57 appearances for the German club, a tally that explains why his transfer fee is already being valued at around 60 million euros.

Of the three clubs, United has the most pressing need. With Benjamin Sesko's physical issues still unresolved, Old Trafford is looking for a solution up front as soon as possible. Arsenal, meanwhile, could make a move with Viktor Gyokeres to free up space, and Chelsea already has Matanovic down as an alternative to Joao Pedro if they need reinforcement at striker. Three clubs, one target: it remains to be seen who gets to Freiburg first with an offer on the table.

Madueke, Watching From the Bench as Spanish and Italian Clubs Circle

At Arsenal there's another name whose present looks more worrying than promising: Noni Madueke. The winger has managed just 23 minutes across two substitute appearances in the Premier League this season, completely squeezed out of the rotation by Bukayo Saka and newcomer Christos Tzolis. That lack of playing time has set off enough alarm bells that Atletico Madrid and Juventus have started monitoring his situation closely, with a possible January loan in mind, according to The Telegraph. At 24, Madueke needs regular minutes, and if Arsenal can't provide them, he'll look for a way out in the winter window.

Kane Edges Closer to Tying Himself to Bayern Through 2029

Meanwhile in Munich, negotiations are moving forward and the message is clear: Harry Kane wants to stay. According to Sky Deutschland, the English striker is close to signing a new contract that would keep him at Bayern through 2029, following a decisive breakthrough in talks. His numbers at the Allianz Arena back up the club's commitment: 152 goals and 34 assists in 154 appearances. Despite past rumors linking him with Barcelona, everything points to the 33 year old staying in Germany for the long haul.

There's more movement elsewhere on the continent. Arsenal is also exploring a move for Endrick, though Real Madrid is only considering a loan without a purchase option for the Brazilian striker, who is also being linked with Roma. AC Milan, for its part, is preparing an approach for Manchester United's Joshua Zirkzee, seeking a loan with an option to buy to round out their attack alongside Goncalo Ramos and Francesco Camarda.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid locked down Arda Guler with a contract extension through 2031 and a salary bump, while Liverpool is preparing to turn down interest from Juventus and Inter in Giovanni Leoni. And there's one name that keeps drawing attention across England: half the Premier League (United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and City) is keeping tabs on Barcelona's Jules Kounde.
