That's the simple outlook facing Universidad de Chile after taking care of business on the road in Quillota, a 3-1 win that lets the club turn its full attention to next Sunday, when a new edition of the Chilean Superclasico rolls around.

Coach Fernando Gago is well aware of that, and he didn't hold back when laying out his stance.

"Soccer is played with goals, with winning, and that's how we have to play. We need to spend as much time as possible in the opponent's half and attack. Obviously, when you have more of the ball, you get more chances and create more scoring opportunities. We have to keep working on that," the Argentine coach explained after the match in Quillota.

One name stood out in the breakdown of the win: Gonzalo Reyna, the Argentine forward who scored one of the goals against Limache. Gago made no secret of his satisfaction with the young striker's form. "Gonzalo is in a development process and I'm really pleased about the goal he scored and about him getting minutes," the coach said, suggesting that his faith in the player's individual growth goes hand in hand with the team's results.

Asked how a match of this size is prepared for, the coach was clear about separating the week's work from what will happen on the field. "We have to start working on the game plan, not play the match during the week, but we do know what a clasico means, what it means for the fans. We'll try to arrive in the best possible shape to take on this match," he added.

Gago also took the chance to speak about the bond he's built with his squad, something that's increasingly visible in the team's collective play at this stage of the season. "In every match we need to show commitment in character and in how we play. And what these guys give during the week, honestly, I really identify with them, both in training and in how they approach matches and how they get along with each other. It's a pleasure to coach them and watch them on the field with the passion they bring. The team keeps growing in an important way," the coach declared.
