US Senate passed a resolution to terminate with wage inequality in US Women's Soccer
A groundbreaking success in a sport dominated by men

They have the spirit of the suffragettes, want to redact laws and decide their own fate
The US Senate has agreed with the players of the US women's soccer team and has passed a resolution which calls for the Football Federation to immediately terminate with wage inequality. Big news in the fight against sexism in sports.
The US team is followed en masse. The players were received as true heroines through the streets last year and the final in the World Cup was watched by 25.4 million people, one million more than the NBA Finals between Warriors and Cavaliers. However, despite the players generating more revenue than men and reap more successes, they are paid between 30% and 60% less.
The five players in the World Champions Team (Carly Lloyd, Becky Sauerbrunn, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe and Hope Solo) have had the courage to take the step against machismo and filed a complaint against the Federation for wage discrimination before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. They are well known soccer stars and now as spokespersons for all athletes. "It is about having the same pay. It is our duty as women athletes fight for the same rights and the same wages" they said.
US players have shown is worth the effort fighting for their rights. Such effort thus puts an end to wage inequality. The teammates now playing a different game are winning the battle in the sport, one of the bastions of sexism. They have the spirit of the suffragettes, want to redact laws and decide their own fate.
