The stadium was still settling into its new lead when, in the 76th minute, Pep Biel put the finishing touch on the comeback with a low left-footed strike off a counterattack started by Liel Abada, sealing the final 3-1.

D.C. United had its last chances through Louis Munteanu, who tried a header late on, but there was no time or accuracy left to pull one back.
