Claudio Bravo Claimed Every Domestic Trophy in England During His Manchester City Years
The Chilean goalkeeper won the Premier League, the FA Cup, the Carabao Cup and the Community Shield across four years.

Some goalkeepers pass through a club and leave behind little more than cold statistics. Others walk away with every trophy the country has to offer, and get remembered for a penalty shootout on top of it. That's the story of Claudio Bravo at Manchester City.
The Chilean arrived in England on August 25, 2016, from Barcelona, in a deal the English club announced with a simple line: "The Chilean goalkeeper joins Manchester from Barcelona and signs a four-year contract." No fireworks in the statement, but what followed certainly had some shine to it.
Bravo didn't arrive as an unknown. He already carried the weight of having won back-to-back Copa America titles with the Chilean national team, and at City he found a locker room that needed exactly that profile: a goalkeeper comfortable with the ball at his feet, composed under pressure, and experienced enough to compete for a starting spot, even sharing the goal with Ederson in the years that followed.
A run with all four crowns
Over his time in Manchester, Bravo ended up lifting all four English domestic trophies: the Premier League, the FA Cup, the League Cup (Carabao Cup) and the Community Shield. That's not an easy set to complete, since these competitions come with different formats, different opponents and different kinds of pressure, and sweeping them all says plenty about the collective level that City side reached in those years.
One moment from that run stands out especially in fans' memories: the 2019 Community Shield against Liverpool. Bravo was the star of the penalty shootout, the unexpected hero in a match usually treated as a simple preseason friendly but one that leaves a mark when it's won that way.
Having come up through Colo Colo's youth ranks, Bravo already had a long journey behind him before reaching England: Chile, Spain with Real Sociedad and Barcelona, and finally City. At every stop he left the impression of someone who matters beyond a goalkeeper's raw numbers, a leader who makes his presence felt in the locker room.
His English chapter closed in August 2020, when the goalkeeper moved on to Real Betis, returning to Spanish football after his years in Catalonia. Four years in Manchester, four domestic titles and a penalty shootout for the ages: not everyone can sum up their time at a club quite like that.
