Bayern Munich readying January bid for Dani Olmo

Let's start with the name making the most noise: Dani Olmo. According to Sky Sports, Bayern Munich are already putting together a January offer for the Barcelona attacking midfielder, and this isn't some last minute whim. The Germans have been tracking him for a while, going back to his days at RB Leipzig, and now see the winter window as the ideal moment to make a serious move.

Why now? Because Bayern are starting to hedge their bets given growing interest from other clubs in two of their own players, Jamal Musiala and Michael Olise. If either one leaves, Bayern will need a top level replacement, and Olmo fits that profile. The player himself is riding high right now: he was crowned world champion with Spain this summer, and his market value sits at around 70 million euros. On Barcelona's side, the money wouldn't hurt either: the club is still keeping an eye on Julian Alvarez of Atletico Madrid, and selling Olmo would help pad the budget for a run at that deal.

Moves in England and Italy

There's business brewing at Old Trafford too. Manchester United have their eye on Joaquin Seys, the 21 year old Club Brugge left back, after club scouts watched in person as he set up two goals in a 3-0 win over Genk. The plan is to cover for Luke Shaw, who is now 31, especially after United missed out on their two summer targets: Nathaniel Brown ended up joining Bayern and Lewis Hall signed a new deal with Newcastle.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are working several fronts at once. For one, they're leading the race for Bournemouth's Alex Scott, should the 23 year old midfielder become available in the winter market. His strong form earned him a call up to Thomas Tuchel's England squad for the Nations League, though Bournemouth won't let him go cheap: they're asking at least 100 million pounds.

Elsewhere, the collapsed move for Lamine Camara on the final day of the summer window, a 55 million euro deal that Monaco ended up blocking, hasn't shut the door between the two clubs. If Chelsea come back in January, they're expected to negotiate from a stronger position, though Liverpool have now also entered the picture, keeping tabs on the 21 year old Senegalese midfielder.

Speaking of Liverpool, the Anfield club is one of as many as seven Premier League sides watching Tyler Morton, the academy graduate now playing for Lyon. Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Newcastle, Sunderland and Everton round out the list of clubs interested in a possible homecoming for the 23 year old.

Other names to watch: Manchester City have seen four Premier League clubs, Chelsea among them, circling their 22 year old defender Abdukodir Khusanov; Inter Milan are keeping tabs on Roma's Alessandro Romano, who is shining on loan at Cagliari; and in Turin, Juventus are close to finalizing the free transfer of goalkeeper Neto, on a deal through June 2027, while also scouting Sassuolo midfielder Darryl Bakola along with four Brazilian targets.

Between the posts, Alisson Becker's situation at Liverpool is also drawing attention: formal renewal talks won't begin until well into the year, leaving the door open for him to eventually leave on a free transfer to Juventus.
