Olympiakos rallies past Jagiellonia in stoppage time to win 2-1 in Europa League opener

Jagiellonia Białystok went ahead at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium, held on as best it could against a Greek onslaught, and ultimately fell 2-1 to Olympiakos, which completed the comeback in the closing stretch. It was a Europa League match in which the home side controlled play from start to finish, even though the scoreboard took a long time to show it.

The Polish resistance, with Bernardo Vital and teammates throwing themselves into challenges at the back, held until the 83rd minute, when Roman Yaremchuk, just off the bench, headed home a Freuler cross to make it a final 2-1.
