Ferran Torres nets hat trick as PSG rout Slovan Bratislava 6-1

It took just four games in a PSG shirt for Ferran Torres to reach five goals. This Wednesday, at the Parc des Princes, he scored three in one game to seal a 6-1 rout of Slovan Bratislava in the club's opener in the 2026/27 Champions League league phase.

The Spaniard, who left Barcelona for a fee close to 50 million euros, is already starting to pay back that investment with goals. He did it, too, in the manner of a true penalty-box striker: quick finishes, first time, no overthinking.

His first goal came in the 30th minute. Ousmane Dembélé popped up on the right wing, looked up and floated a pinpoint cross for Torres, who dove in with a diving header, striking it on the volley without letting the ball bounce, to make it 3-0. A goal built on pure poacher's instinct.

The second arrived barely a minute into the second half. This time the move started with a brilliant individual run from Akliouche, who slipped past a couple of defenders with a sharp cutback and picked out the midfield, where the "Shark" showed up, shifted the ball to his right and fired a low, crossed shot that found the corner for 4-0.

With the game already decided and the Parc des Princes enjoying the party, PSG kept pushing forward. Mendes had a fine team goal ruled out for offside, but the fifth still came from a set piece: Torres met a Dembélé cross on the half-volley and completed his hat trick with a finish that had a touch of luck, capping off a perfect night for the former Barcelona man.

A season opener built on goals

The forward reached five goals in a PSG shirt in just four appearances, after scoring twice on his league debut against Rennes. The numbers are starting to show that his adjustment to French soccer has been anything but difficult.

For PSG, the 6-1 win over Slovan Bratislava means starting the Champions League league phase on solid footing, in a competition where the Paris club arrives as the reigning force with an obligation to show its class from matchday one. With Torres in top form and a squad that keeps adding attacking options, the goal of repeating a strong European campaign is starting to take shape.
