Women's League: here's how the semifinal first legs between Nacional-Cali and Santa Fe-Millonarios will play out

The four semifinalists of the 2026 Liga Femenina BetPlay now have a date, time and stadium for the first leg, with a spot in the 2027 Copa Libertadores Femenina on the line for the champion and runner-up.

The date and time are set for the matchups that will decide the finalists of the 2026 Liga Femenina BetPlay DIMAYOR. Dimayor confirmed the schedule for the semifinal first legs, and the opening slot belongs to Atletico Nacional and Deportivo Cali, who will face off on Wednesday, September 16 at 6:00 p.m. at Atanasio Girardot Stadium.

A day later, on Thursday, September 17, it will be time for the Bogota clasico: Independiente Santa Fe will host Millonarios at 7:00 p.m. at El Campin. Two matchups with their own flavor, one in Medellin and one in the capital, kick off the tournament's decisive round.

How did the four contenders get here? It all came down to the group stage, where only the top two from each group advance. In Group A, Millonarios finished on top with 12 points, followed by Atletico Nacional with nine. In Group B, the race was even tighter: Deportivo Cali and Independiente Santa Fe finished tied at 11 points each, both punching their tickets to the semifinals.

What's at stake

The women's championship format leaves no room to relax: whoever wins their tie moves straight into the final. And there's more on the line than just the domestic title, since both the champion and runner-up of this 2026 Liga Femenina will earn the right to represent Colombia in the 2027 Copa Libertadores Femenina.

For now, Dimayor has only confirmed the first legs. The schedule for the second legs, which will determine the two teams that will play in the final, has yet to be announced.

With Millonarios arriving as the top scorer of the entire group stage and a Nacional side that squeezed through, while on the other side Cali and Santa Fe produced a perfect points tie, this round promises to be tightly contested from the opening whistle.
