Osasuna and Rayo Vallecano Split the Points in a 1-1 Draw at El Sadar

A left-footed strike from Ante Budimir, curling toward the top corner from the middle of the box, put Osasuna in front in the 15th minute at El Sadar. Rayo Vallecano needed just four minutes after the restart to respond: Sergio Camello equalized in the 49th minute with a low shot inside the post, set up by Adrià Pedrosa. The 1-1 scoreline held from there, leaving both sides with the same feeling of points slipping away.

The match, part of LaLiga, followed a curious script: Osasuna struck first while barely needing the ball, while Rayo was the outright owner of the game for nearly the rest of the match. Before the home side's goal, Kike Barja had already given a warning with a shot that was blocked early on, and Barja himself nearly doubled the lead in the 17th minute off a headed assist from Budimir that drifted just wide.
