Boca and River Set Date for Next Superclasico: November 1 at La Bombonera

The date is now circled on the calendar: the Superclasico returns on Sunday, November 1. Boca and River will meet for matchday 15 of the Clausura 2026, and this time the stage is La Bombonera, once again gearing up to host the hottest match in Argentine soccer.

There's still no confirmed kickoff time from the Liga Profesional de Futbol, so for now fans just need to pencil in the date. What is settled is how to watch it: the match will air live on ESPN Premium.

What the last meeting left behind

For the most recent chapter in this rivalry, you have to go back to the match played at the Monumental, where Boca came away with a narrow 1-0 win. The goal that decided that game came from the penalty spot, converted by Leandro Paredes, a player who tends to show up in the key moments of these matches.

That result adds an extra layer to what's coming: now it's River that needs to turn around the recent history, and they'll have to do it right in their rival's backyard, at a Bombonera that historically carries enormous weight in matches like this one.

As is usually the case with Superclasicos, there won't be certainty about the exact kickoff time until the date gets closer. That's standard practice in Argentine soccer, where the scheduling of days and times for the biggest matches often gets delayed for security and organizational reasons. In the meantime, anticipation is already building on both sides, with fans well aware that a match like this can decide far more than just three points in the Clausura 2026 standings.

For now, here's what's locked in: the date is confirmed for November 1, Boca's home ground will host it, and the broadcast is guaranteed on ESPN Premium. Everything else, as always ahead of a Boca-River clash, will come down to the wire.
