It also carries the beatdowns nobody in Manchester wants to remember: that 5-0 defeat to eternal rival Liverpool, the painful 6-1 collapse against Tottenham, and, more recently, the stumble against Brighton in the Carabao Cup, where United blew a 2-0 lead and ended up losing 3-2. That result wasn't just another bad night, it marked the club's first home defeat after leading at halftime in 42 years.

A New Pitch for a Season That Needs to Turn the Page

The turf now being sold in pieces isn't the same one players walked on just months ago. According to club media, the field was dug up entirely down to its foundations in June, something that hadn't happened in 14 years. Some sections of the removed turf were set aside to be displayed later in glass cases, like museum pieces, while others were made available for anyone who wants to take home a piece of history.
